It does not often happen that you dedicate a vehicle with over 9,000 pounds with a Porsche 911 GT3 with regard to the straight power with a Porsche 911-GT3. But here we are in 2025 and one of the fastest vehicles from General Motors is not a slim corvette or a light sports car-the hulking, all-electric 2026 GMC Hummer eV 3x pickup. Yes, the same super truck that looks like it could roll over a mountain that now rises to 60 miles per hour in a demanding 2.8 seconds. Let us unpack how such a beast pulls this apparently physical performance. For 2026, GMC gave the Hummer EV a serious jerk with 160 hp to the 3 -fold pickup cladding, which put the total number of amazing 1,160 hp. This service assembly is achieved via an available 24-module culture battery in combination with what GMC describes as “optimization of software and drive scalibration”. Although the exact tuning magic is not fully uncovered, it is clear that a mixture of shell battery output and software intelligence helps the heavy lifting.
This is not just a theoretical number on paper. A time of 0–60 of 2.8 seconds brings the Hummer EV into rare air, with acceleration characters with supercars such as the Z06 corvette and even flirting with territory flirting that are dominated by EVS all-wheel drive such as the Plaid of the Tesla model. The fact that this comes from a vehicle that can also crawl stones, Ford flows and can control diagonally with its Crabwalk Tech speaks about how far EV engineering has come.
The updates for 2026 do not stop in the power supply. GMC also exposes a new Carbon Fibre Edition trim for the pickup and SUV variants. It is even better that GMC makes this functionality available to Hummer EV owners from 2022–2025 via an over-the-air update-a intelligent step that extends the life cycle of the technology of the truck.
There are also practical improvements. The updated suspension vote aims to improve driving comfort on the way and to deal with one of the few criticisms of earlier models. It is an innocent mix of brutal strength and brainy engineering, and somehow one of the fastest vehicles from GM is also one of the hardest.
