Kia makes her annual turnover known worldwide

In May 2025, the Kia Corporation announced total sales of 269,148 units worldwide, which corresponds to an increase of 1.7 percent compared to the previous year.

The sales were supported by the introduction of new models such as the EV3 Electric SUV -nominated World Car of the Year in the 2025 World Car Awards -the EV4 Electric Berlin and the Pick -up Tasman. KIA SUV models managed the company’s turnover in May, Sportage Al-Cancó 48,091 units, worldwide. The highlights supported this good behavior on the market with sales of 26,017 units, followed by Kia Sorento with 21,889 units.

Sales outside the Korean market

The sales from Korea (excluded special vehicles) rose by 2.6% compared to the same period from 2024 to 223,817 units.

In the markets outside of Koreas Sportage directed the brand’s impulse and registered 42,796 units sold, followed by the Seals with 21,760 units. Combined sales of K4 and K3 models, also known in some markets as forte, added 17,641 units.

Sales in Korea

In May, Kia sold 45,003 units on the Korean market, 2.4% less than in the same period of the previous year.

The Sorento headed the company’s turnover in its national market with 7,734 units in May, followed by Carnival Minivan with a turnover of 6,651 units, while Sportage registered deliveries of 5,295 units.

Kia strives to maintain her sales pace during 2025, whereby newly started models such as EV4 and pick-up Tasman contributed.

The company will increase growth and strengthen its global leadership role in electrification through its strategies and strategic investments centered by customers.
