Max Verstappen delivered a master class in the Imola and stormed on the race track for his second win of the season and in a fourth victory in a row, in a race full of drama, strategy twists and action with great commitment. Red Bulls 400th Grand Prix was one that you could remember.
The race lit out of the first corner. Despite Oscar plastri Verstappen started well from the pole and grabbed the lead in a spectacular way with a bold step through Tamburello – a declaration of intent of the incumbent world champion.
As a strategies at an early stage, Piatri first blinked with a pit stop in round 14, which ultimately cost him. Verstappen stayed outside, turned quick rounds and pulled back – and then came the chaos.
Is round 29, Esteban Ocon The off-track excursion triggered a virtual security car, with Verstappen giving the perfect window for boxing and showing up with an amazing 20-second lead. Just when things had settled, more drama hit.
A safety car in round 46 – thanks to Rookie Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes – the race turned the race upside down. Verstappen and Norris arrived again, while Piatri stayed outside and set up a tempting team dynamics at McLaren.
But there was no stopping Verstappen. He nailed the restart and drove to victory, cemented his dominance in Imola. Behind him, Norris made his teammate to secure P2 while Piatri held a defendant Lewis Hamilton to win a well -deserved podium.
