According to Fiat, the 4 × 4 concept is a “direct legacy of the Panda 4 × 4 from the 80s” with the dark red color of the show car.
Further changes are steel bikes with knobby off-road tires and pixel LED headlights at the front and on the roof shelf. The latter can keep important equipment, e.g. B. the included spare wheel in full size.
There is no word about whether the concept has improved suspension or underbody protection.
The original Panda 4 × 4 was launched in 1983, had a small 36 kW 965 cm3 engine, a live rear axle and a five-speed manual transmission with an ultra-lower first gear. The all -wheel drive system could be included by the driver on the floors.
The skills of this car were announced and it was a hit, apparently many were sold to farmers, mining operators and others who worked on the country.
The following generations of the panda also produced 4 × 4 variants. Although there is still no official word about whether the Grande Panda 4 × 4 concept will bring it into production, it seems to be a pretty good bet. At the moment the company simply says that it is “Fiat’s potential for the next all -wheel drive”.
