Lando Norris secured a breathtaking pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix in a dramatic qualification. The McLaren driver scored a 1-09,954 in the second quarter, which highlighted the home favorite Charles Leclerc and the teammate Oscar Piatri, who took second place and third place.
Ferraris Lewis Hamilton recovered from an exercise accident to excite fourth place, while Max Verstappen could only manage the fifth in a challenging session for Red Bull. Isack Hadjar Impressed by the sixth place for Racing Bulls, followed by Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Esteban Ocon (Haas), Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) and Alex Albon (Williams), who completed the top ten.
Carlos Sainz missed the third quarter, quoted Grip problems and begins the 11th place. He followed Yuki Tsunoda, Nico Hulkenberg, George Russell (who suffered a power problem) and Rookie Kimi Antonelli (who crashed in the first quarter).
The drivers, which were removed in the first quarter, included Gabriel Bortoleto, Ollie Bearman (Haas, who also wears a 10-place raster penalty), Lance walk (with a placed punishment) and both alpines from Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.
The spotlight after the session also turned to Lewis Hamiltonwho received a three-place network penalty because he had hindered another driver during the last training session. Despite a strong qualification, in which he took fourth place, the Ferrari driver now starts seventh place in the grid and promotes Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar and Fernando Alonso.
