Oscar Piatri secured his fourth pole position of the 2025 season in the Spanish Grand Prix and exhibited McLaren -Tammoller Lando Norris in the last seconds of a tough qualification.
Piatri had set the benchmark with Q1 and Q2, but Norris temporarily claimed poles during the first Q3 runs. However, the Australian reacted with an excellent last round of 1: 11,546 and struggled Norris around 0.209 and reaffirm his leadership in the championship.
Max Verstappen provided Red Bull another consistent performance to qualify third place. George Russell agreed to the lap time until the thousandth of the lap time, but was classified in fourth place after the line was later crossed.
Lewis Hamilton led the indictment for Ferrari ahead of Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), who placed the sixth and seventh place. Pierre Gasly (Alpine) called for eighth place with an impressive rookie Isack Hadjar (Rennbullen) in the ninth and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) round off the top ten on home.
I missed Albon (Williams) in the third quarter and only fell out by 0.030s. He followed Gabriel Bortoleto (Kick Sauber) in P12 and Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) in P13. Lance walk and Ollie Bearman were the last drivers eliminated in the second quarter.
The network is set, which promises to be a tightly fighting race in Barcelona.
