OptiQ-V -
As an electrical SUV and member of the V-Serie line, the OptiQ-V will receive a more powerful electric drive train with dual engine all-wheel drive than the regular OptiQ, which will be offered for sale here in 2026.
The larger Lyriq-V is also due here in 2026.
General Motors’ luxury brand has not yet confirmed a drive train details for the OptiQ-V and recently only published a few teaser images, but the engineers have “provided a unique package for precision, dynamic suspension and close steering for an exciting driving experience”.
The regular optiq with dual engine all-wheel drive produces 224 kW of electricity and 480 Nm torque, whereby the power supply is delivered by an 85 kWh nickel-mangan cobalt (NCM) lithium-ion battery.
It has a strut-front suspension, and as with the larger Lyriq there is a five-link rear wheel system and passive plus dampers all around.

Lyriq-V
The visible changes that result from the two teaser pictures of Cadillac include the V-Serie badges and a rear spoiler. However, we would also expect other aesthetic upgrades to include more aggressive rocker panels and unique bikes.
The OptiQ-V is used under the Lyriq-V at least on the US market with an electric drive train with a dual engine drivers’ drive train 459 kW and 880 Nm.
Cadillac takes a 0-60 miles per hour (0-96 km/h) of only 3.3 seconds in V-fashion or speed-max mode.
This only shades the 3.4-second sprint of the charged V8-CT5 V-Blackwing sedan when they are equipped with an automatic transmission, even though it has dropped 40 kW and 13 nm and weighs more.
The Lyriq-V pumps an additional 71 kW and 270 Nm above the regular dual engine Lyriq, although it does not receive magnetic processes like other V-Badged models in Cadillac’s installation. Instead, it has a standard continuous damping control.
Changes compared to the regular Lyriq include a faster steering ratio, Brembo front brakes, a new artificial drive sound and new competitive and customizable V-mode drive modes.
It’s fast, but it is very different from the traditional V8 models that have worn the V-Serie name tag over the years.
The first model of Cadillac’s first V series was the 2004 CTS-V sedan, which had shared a 5.7 liter V8 (later a 6.0-liter valve) with the Chevrolet Corvette with a six-speed manual transmission.
